Job summary

NOVA Parks is seeking a Catering Server to assist in the proper execution of weddings and high-end social catered events in Virginia. You will work under the Catering Captain, with some independence, and must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities include setting tables, assisting with food service, maintaining cleanliness, greeting guests, and ensuring health code compliance. Uniform provided; driver’s license not required but preferred. Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be age 18 or over.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Able to lift 25–50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Driver’s license with clean driving record preferred.
• Uniform will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the proper execution of catering proposals for weddings and high-end events.
• Help with pre-event setup and arranging tables, chairs, linens, and centerpieces.
• Polish china, silverware, and glassware; carry and replace food as needed.
• Meet and greet guests in a professional manner and ensure smooth service.
• Adhere to health codes and sanitation standards.
• Maintain communication with Catering Captain and follow timelines.
• Serve alcoholic beverages as needed and assist with delivery/bussing of items.
• Assist with post-event cleanup and trash disposal.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.
