Job summary

Arbor Masters is a family‑owned tree service company seeking a Tree Climber to join our team in Shawnee, KS. You will operate heavy equipment, perform pruning and removal tasks, and support crew leaders with job site setup and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be a team player with a positive attitude
• Must have valid driver’s license; CDL class A or B preferred
• Must be at least 18 years old
• 2–3 years rope and saddle climbing experience
• Knowledge of knots used in roping and rigging
• Ability to work at heights above 10 feet
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs regularly

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks, brush trucks, claw trucks, chippers, pole saws, pruning saws, pole pruners, power pole saws, and chainsaws
• Repair, sharpen, and maintain equipment and tools
• Perform basic felling and rigging, including aerial rigging over obstacles
• Load and secure tools, supplies, and materials on the truck; ensure equipment is fueled and inspected
• Conduct job briefing and assist Crew Leader in work zone setup with proper PPE
• Complete tree risk assessments and communicate with homeowners about Arbor Masters services
• Maintain communication with crew members throughout the day
• Assist in debris cleanup at job completion
