Job summary

Arbor Masters is seeking a Tree Climber to join our team in Texas. You will operate bucket and claw trucks, perform pruning and removals, and supervise a two-person crew while maintaining safety standards in all weather conditions.

Candidates should have 2–3 years rope/saddle climbing experience and possess an ISA Arborist certification or be in process. A valid driver’s license is required and CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years rope and saddle climbing experience.
• ISA Certified Arborist or in process.
• Valid driver's license; Class C required, CDL A/B preferred.
• Able to work at heights above 10 feet and outdoors in varying weather.
• Experience with tree pruning and removal techniques.
• Ability to navigate uneven terrain and lift over 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment and power tools such as bucket trucks, chippers, and chainsaws.
• Lead a 2-man pruning crew and complete pruning & removal projects.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, ensuring fuel and fluids are topped up; prep tools.
• Perform job briefings and assist Crew Leader in work zone setup with PPE.
• Complete tree risk and site assessments; communicate with homeowners about Arbor Masters services and conduct pre/post-job walkthroughs.
• Communicate with crew members and assist in debris cleanup at job completion.
