General Summary & Scope

The Elite Stylist engages with guests, consults on hair care, and recommends products and services. They deliver quality services focusing on the guest’s total look, supporting the Experience Manager (EM) and Assistant Services Manager (ASM). The role requires a passion for beauty, exceptional guest service, and the ability to learn and communicate product knowledge.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Performance

• Perform hair services including design, cuts, color, treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing (if applicable).
• Meet or exceed a weekly sales goal of $1900, focusing on service sales, retail, guest loyalty, and shrink control.
• Conduct product demonstrations to enhance sales and guest experience.
• Support in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.

People

• Develop guest relationships through consultations and recommendations.
• Serve all guests efficiently, including walk-ins.
• Collaborate with skin therapists and retail teams for a comprehensive guest experience.
• Build professional relationships with peers and brand partners.
• Promote the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
• Attend mandatory training and meetings for professional development.

Process

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures per state guidelines.
• Adhere to service protocols for consistent guest experiences.
• Use booking and client systems effectively for appointments and events.
• Communicate supply needs to the Experience Manager.
• Maintain store cleanliness and operational standards.
• Follow the dress code and protect company assets.
• Perform other operational tasks as assigned.
