Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts in Berkeley seeks a Strength & Conditioning Trainer to deliver personalized training, small group sessions, and floor coaching for Club members. You will design and adapt programs based on movement assessments, progress tracking, and safety priorities, while upholding guest-focused service on the fitness floor.

Qualifications

• Certification required: NSCA-CSCS or equivalent (nationally accredited).
• Minimum 3 years coaching strength & conditioning, personal training, or athletic performance.
• Experience in private club, luxury hospitality, or high-touch fitness environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of program design, mobility, and injury-aware coaching.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver individualized strength and conditioning programs based on member goals and assessments.
• Conduct fitness assessments and movement screens; track progress over time.
• Coach proper technique, ensure safety, and progress loads appropriately.
• Deliver personal training, small group sessions, and specialty programming as scheduled.
• Maintain professional floor presence, greet members, and foster a welcoming environment.
