Job summary

Morton's The Steakhouse in Schaumburg, IL is seeking a Sous Chef to lead a premier dining team. Situated near Woodfield Mall, this role supports the Executive Chef in running an upscale kitchen and delivering Morton's legendary dining experience with USDA Prime steaks and fine seafood.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of culinary management experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a proven track record in back-of-house operations.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of culinary management experience in upscale or fine dining.
Strong leadership, communication and conflict resolution abilities.
Stable, progressive work history with solid work ethic.

Responsibilities

Ensures excellence in guest satisfaction with a hands-on, lead-by-example style.
Assist Executive Chef in managing back-of-house staff and ongoing training.
Control labor and other cost centers through planning and execution.
Oversee inventories, and ordering of food and supplies.
Maintain sanitation and OSHA-compliant work areas.
