Exos is seeking a Sports Performance Coach in Grand Rapids, MI to design and implement a comprehensive high‑performance model integrating sports science, athletic training, strength and conditioning, and recovery for professional soccer players.

You will monitor workloads, use GPS and force plates, collaborate with medical staff, and lead education on nutrition, sleep, and lifestyle management. Willingness to travel during the season and work non‑traditional hours is required.

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Sports Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
Minimum two years of personal training or strength coaching experience, or completion of Exos Performance Specialist Internship.
Current industry certification; NSCA-CSCS or NASM preferred.
Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
Proven ability to create effective, individualized exercise plans.
Strong presentation skills for both small and large group settings.
Exceptional customer service skills, prioritizing client success and support.
Ability to travel extensively throughout the professional soccer season.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours.

Individualize physical preparation plans based on player profiles, injuries, and developmental objectives.
Monitor workload, fatigue, recovery, and readiness using objective and subjective measures.
Utilize GPS, wearables, force plate testing, wellness questionnaires, and other monitoring tools.
Analyze workload trends and performance data to support decision-making.
Design and oversee comprehensive recovery protocols for training, matches, and travel.
Integrate sleep, hydration, nutrition, and regeneration strategies into daily operations.
Collaborate with medical professionals to ensure safe progression from rehab to play.
Develop educational initiatives related to nutrition, hydration, sleep, recovery, and lifestyle management.
Foster collaboration among athletic training, strength and conditioning, sports science, medical providers, and coaching staff.
