Job summary

CT United FC in Bridgeport, CT, seeks an experienced Performance Specialist to apply scientific knowledge to improve players' performance and prevent injuries. You will conduct soccer-specific testing, design conditioning programs, assist in recovery, and provide nutritional guidance under CMO supervision.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in related field, CSCS or PES certification, and at least one year of elite sports experience, with strong data analytics and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of full-time experience with athletes in elite-level sports.
• Experience in strength and conditioning programming for athletes.
• Ability to communicate with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement strength and conditioning programs for CT United players.
• Lead and supervise sports performance training sessions.
• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly training plans and periodization strategies.
• Educate players regarding strategies to improve performance.
• Communicate with the sports medicine staff regarding injured and deconditioned players to modify programs.
• Integrate data from performance testing to adjust programs.
• Ensure safety and organization of weight facility and educate on rules.
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills with players, coaches, and MLS NEXT Pro staff.
