The role supports Special Forces training and readiness, with duties spanning diagnostics, maintenance, and safety compliance.

Candidates must possess a SECRET clearance, be a U.S. citizen, and demonstrate physical fitness to handle demanding work in varied environments.

Qualifications

• US citizen with SECRET clearance required.
• Background check including NACLAC.
• Experience as a gunsmith or small arms technician preferred.
• Able to pass medical physical examination.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs and work in varied environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, overhauls, and repairs small arms to include pistols, rifles, shotguns and accessories.
• Diagnoses mechanical deficiencies and malfunctions in various firearms.
• Maintain proficiency with tools, gauges, and finishing agents used in maintenance and repair.
• Assembles and disassembles firearms for servicing and testing.
• Conducts test fires and operational checks to ensure safety and accuracy.
• Trains less experienced personnel in repair techniques and safety procedures.
