Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, seeks a Polysomnographic Technologist in Houston to deliver comprehensive sleep studies and education. You will work with sleep disorders staff to perform testing, scoring, and patient care across multiple disciplines.

The role requires polysomnography training, BRPT RPSGT certification, BLS, and 6+ months sleep lab experience, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Must have completed polysomnography program of at least 1 year or 6+ months as trainee
• BRPT RPSGT certification
• Certified Sleep Educator or eligible
• BLS certification
• 6+ months of sleep lab experience

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze patient information to determine testing parameters and procedures
• Prepare and calibrate equipment for testing and apply electrodes per standards
• Perform polysomnographic data acquisition and scoring with artifact-free signals
• Explain pre-testing, testing and post-testing procedures to patients
• Educate patients on sleep disorders and sleep hygiene and document results
• Coordinate with providers, Sleep disorders staff and external vendors for testing and follow-up
