Job summary

Allied Universal in Killeen, TX seeks a part‑time Enhanced Security Officer to provide reliable, flexible coverage with anchor shifts and options to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform. This role includes armed duties with a Level III certification and requires a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or five+ years of armed security experience.
• Valid driver’s license required per Allied Universal policy.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• State/local licensing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols in retail areas, parking lots, loading areas, and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious conditions, hazards, policy violations, and security concerns to site leadership.

As a Elite Security Officer Driver in Killeen, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $26.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 03:30 PM - 11:30 PM
• Thur: 03:45 PM - 11:30 PM
• Sun: 08:00 AM - 03:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and/or visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, parking lots, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious conditions, hazards, policy violations, and security‑related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and coordinate with local law enforcement, emergency personnel, and store leadership when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess three or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or five or more years of armed security‑related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
