Job summary

The Mortgage Talent Network seeks a seasoned private lending professional to own each deal from first call to funded loan in California. You will evaluate borrower strength, ownership structures, and exit strategies while leading diligence, structuring, and closing with confidence.

With 5–7+ years in private money and a track record of closing $2.5M+ loans, you will mentor peers, manage relationships with brokers and investors, and ensure strict adherence to California regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years in private lending with underwriting and closing on loans of $2.5M+.
• Strong borrower/guarantor and collateral analysis.
• Experience with complex ownership structures (LLCs, trusts, syndications).
• Knowledge of California lending requirements and compliance.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting & credit judgment on sophisticated deals.
• Borrower diligence & deal structuring, including complex ownership.
• Documentation & closing coordination with title, escrow, and legal review.
• Pipeline leadership & relationship management with brokers and investors.
• Ensure compliance with federal and California lending rules.
