Job summary

Utility Lines Construction Services is seeking an Overhead Distribution A Lineperson to install, maintain, and repair overhead distribution and transmission systems. The role includes pole setting, stringing wire, installing transformers, and ensuring safe operation under energized and de-energized conditions.

Applicants should have at least 4 years of electrical linework experience, the ability to climb structures, and a working knowledge of heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of heavy equipment and energized high voltage systems.
• Ability to climb different structures and work with safety equipment.
• Willingness to travel for emergency storm work is expected.

Responsibilities

• Set poles and anchors; string overhead wire.
• Install transformers, arrestors, crossarms, insulators, switches, and switchgear.
• Perform construction, maintenance, or repair on energized and de-energized overhead lines.
• Troubleshoot primary and secondary systems; replace fuses and clear faults.
• Report injuries and safety concerns to Foreperson.
• Complete other duties related to overhead power supply as assigned.
