Job summary

Ascension Health is seeking a Surgical Technician for the Operating Room at Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN. This full-time, day-shift role supports surgeons by preparing instruments and supplies, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining a sterile field.

You will collaborate closely with the surgical team, uphold precise counts, and contribute to a high standard of care throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date.
• Surgical Tech credentialed by NBSTSA before hire date.
• Compliance with TN code 68-57-101(a) for non-certified applicants.

Responsibilities

• Intuitive Surgical Partnership: act as the right hand to surgeons by anticipating every move and preparing instruments before they are requested.
• Patient Advocacy in Motion: protect patient safety and dignity with precise positioning and draping throughout the procedure.
• Guardian of Accuracy: maintain 100% accuracy in instrument and sponge counts to ensure patient safety from incision to closure.
