Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. You will anticipate instrument needs, assist surgeons, and ensure safety and dignity for every patient during procedures.

As a critical guardian of the sterile field, you will maintain exact counts and organized workflows to uphold patient safety from incision to closure, in a full-time, day-shift setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2+ years cumulative experience required.
• Associate's degree/technical degree or 4 years of applicable experience required.
• NBSTSA Surgical Tech credential required; BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Act as the right hand to surgeons by anticipating every move and ensuring instruments/supplies are ready.
• Advocate for the patient throughout the procedure, ensuring safety, dignity and clinical excellence.
• Maintain sterile field with precise counts and organized workflows to support patient safety.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent; 2+ years experience

Associate's degree or technical degree

NBSTSA Surgical Tech credentialed

BLS Provider within 1 month
