Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA III/IV) to perform high‑voltage testing and system verification for critical power infrastructure. You will travel regionally and nationally up to 75% and lead testing teams on complex projects for data centers, utilities, and industrial facilities.

You must hold NETA III/IV (current), have 7+ years of HV testing experience, and be proficient with test gear (Doble, Megger, Omicron, Dranetz, SKF).

Qualifications

• NETA Level III or IV certification current and in good standing.
• 7+ years hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage.
• Expert knowledge of NETA MTS/ATS standards.
• Ability to read one-line and three-line diagrams, schematics, P&IDs.
• Driver's license with clean record; travel up to 75% regionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies: short circuit, coordination, arc flash, power quality.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical to microprocessor).
• Test insulation resistance, power factor, and contact resistance on equipment.
• Interpret results and author engineering reports with findings.
• Troubleshoot failures in time-critical conditions; mentor Level I/II technicians.
• Lead multi-discipline project teams; ensure NETA MTS/ATS, NFPA 70E, OSHA compliance.
