Job summary

Aggreko is seeking a Major Project Travel Technician 1 - Power Generator to support a home-based role across the United States. You will install, commission, service, and repair generators, for large events, utilities and refinery turnarounds, traveling up to 75% as required.

The role requires 8+ years on power generators, strong knowledge of electrical schematics, and commitment to safety. A competitive hourly rate plus travel allowance and bonuses accompany the position.

Qualifications

8+ years' experience working on power generators, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
High school diploma/GED.
Knowledge using metering and instruments such as multi-meters, amp meters, and Hygrometers.
Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card, valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Install, commission, service and repair Aggreko generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or OFA systems.
Troubleshoot equipment failures both on Major Projects and in service centers. Utilize mathematical formulas to calculate both nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
Read and comprehend electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
Maintain thorough knowledge of, practice, and promote safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA, EPA and other required regulations.
Interface with a remote operations center to prevent failures, help design proactive notification to avoid failures and compliance.
