Job summary

STILT in Thomson, GA is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Machine Assembly Technician for first shift. You will build complete machines from start to finish, wiring motors and controls, and performing final testing and packing for shipment.

This is not a production-line role; you will own the build from frame to final sign-off. You should read assembly prints, determine missing details, and use measuring tools and a torque wrench to ensure proper fit and alignment.

Qualifications

• Experience building or repairing complete machines or equipment.
• Read assembly prints and infer placements when prints miss details.
• Wiring motors and controls from diagrams a plus.
• Comfortable with hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools.
• Able to lift 50 lbs safely.
• MIG welding or press brake experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build complete machines from assembly prints: frames, drivetrains, conveyors, panels and guarding.
• Get the fit, alignment and fastening right, using measuring tools and a torque wrench.
• Figure out the build order yourself, and solve fit-up problems before they become rework.
• Wire motors and controls from wiring diagrams, test the machine, and run the final inspection checklist before it ships.
• Crate and package finished machines for shipping, and help in the fab shop when the schedule needs it.
• Keep your station, tools, parts and kits organized.
