Job summary

Ziegler CAT in Bloomington, MN has a full-time opening for a Large Bore Engine Assembly Technician to work on Cat engines at our Rebuild Center. Hours: M-F, 7:00am-3:30pm. This role assembles Cat 3500, C27, C32 and C175 engines and follows standard procedures.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical college degree in diesel technology or related field; or High school diploma/GED and 2 years of comparable shop mechanic experience
• 2+ years relevant large bore engine assembly experience preferred
• Ability to write and communicate effectively with supervisors, customers and team members
• Basic computer skills to document work orders and use online diagnostic systems
• Tools provided
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Ability to work in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Assemble large bore engines including Cat 3500, C27, C32 and C175 series engines
• Document and follow Cat and Ziegler standard operating procedures
• Work safely and follow policies and standards
• Collaborate with other technicians on repairs and rebuilds
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance mechanical skills and product knowledge
