Job summary

Ziegler CAT is hiring a full-time Large Bore Engine Assembly Technician to work on large engine components at our Bloomington Rebuild Center. Hours: M-F, 3:30pm-12am. Starting wage is $27.00–$45.00 per hour with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical college degree in diesel technology or related field; or High school diploma/GED and 2 years of comparable shop mechanic experience.
• Ability to write and communicate effectively and interact with supervisors, customers and team members.
• Basic computer skills to document work orders and utilize online diagnostic systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble large bore engines including Cat 3500, Cat C27, C32 and C175 series engines.
• Document and follow Cat and Ziegler standard operating procedures.
• Work safely at all times, following company policies, procedures and standards.
• Work collaboratively and assist other technicians as needed regarding repairs and rebuilds.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance mechanical skills and grow product knowledge.
