Job summary

British American Household Staffing on the Upper East Side seeks an experienced, warm, full-time nanny for their infant son. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 6:00pm, with a few evenings per month for work calls.

The ideal candidate will start before the holidays, with a full-time start in January 2027. Interviews and trials will begin in November. Responsibilities include developmental play, feeding, naps, keeping the nursery organized, and clear communication with parents.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional nanny experience, with infant care experience strongly preferred.
• Newborn and infant experience, including feeding, sleep routines, and developmental milestones
• Warm, calm, and positive presence with excellent judgment
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, discreet approach
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, nurturing care for an infant, supporting growth and development at every stage
• Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities and developmental play
• Schedule and attend classes and play dates
• Prepare bottles and follow feeding routines
• Keep the nursery clean and organized
• Handle the baby's laundry
• Communicate openly with the parents about routines, milestones, and daily updates
