Job summary

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Gymnastics Coach to lead and develop a competitive gymnastics program at the Korum Family YMCA in Puyallup, WA. This part-time role focuses on teaching, progression, and safety within the USAG framework.

Ideal candidates have significant gymnastics experience, knowledge of Junior Olympic guidelines, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion in a community-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years’ teaching gymnastics or four years of personal gymnastics experience.
• Ability to instruct boys and girls at beginner to advanced levels.
• Knowledge of USA Gymnastics guidelines and Junior Olympic Program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans with progression for competitive gymnasts.
• Develop and oversee a competitive gymnastics program following USA Gymnastics guidelines.
• Coach athletes during competitions and organize team workouts with the Gymnastics Director.
• Ensure safety, track attendance, and report progress to parents and supervisor.
• Coordinate scheduling to maximize athlete development and meet preparation.
