Job summary

Carver Road Hospitality in New York City seeks an enthusiastic Host to welcome guests, seat diners, and provide accurate wait times with grace and professionalism. You will manage reservations, answer questions, set up the host stand, and uphold sanitation and appearance standards while delivering exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Previous host/hospitality experience in a high-volume restaurant/lounge.
• Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, greet and seat guests in a gracious, accommodating, and professional manner.
• Manage reservations and provide accurate wait times for guests without reservations.
• Set up the host stand, review the reservation book, and maintain cleanliness.
• Assist with incoming calls and confirm reservations.
• Seat reservations promptly and hold chairs for guests when seating.
• Maintain professional appearance standards as directed in the Employee Handbook.
