O’ROURKE WRECKING COMPANY is seeking an experienced Fleet & Asset Manager to lead heavy equipment, truck, and shop operations for a premier demolition contractor. You will drive uptime, lead a skilled team, and partner with project teams to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, budgeting, and vendor management within a fast-paced construction environment, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of leadership experience in fleet or equipment management.
• Proven budgeting, purchasing, and vendor negotiation skills.
• Track record of maximizing equipment uptime and preventive maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards applicable to fleet operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of mechanics, welders, drivers, and shop personnel.
• Oversee fleet maintenance, repairs, inspections, and compliance.
• Maximize equipment uptime, availability, and utilization.
• Manage purchasing, vendor relationships, and cost control.
• Support operations by ensuring the right equipment is available at the right time.
• Develop preventative maintenance programs and performance metrics.
