McCrady Fire Department on the installation seeks a Firefighter with certification (IFSA/ProBoard) and a high school diploma to respond to emergencies, perform rescues, and manage hazardous materials and medical calls. The role involves 24-hour standby, apparatus operation, and training participation.

Candidates must meet NFPA 1582 standards, hold SC Driver’s license, and be capable of passing physical tests with SCBA use. Command duties rotate as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Firefighter II certification (IFSAC/ProBoard) preferred.
• Must have valid South Carolina state driver’s license and be able to obtain federal license if required.
• NFPA-1582 physical standards met with ability to wear SCBA; basic fire apparatus knowledge and driving skills.

Responsabilités

• Respond to fire emergencies, rescues, hazmat and medical calls on a military installation.
• Perform 24-hour standby for fire suppression and rescue operations; operate fire apparatus and related equipment.
• Provide medical assistance at EMR level; participate in training and evaluation exercises.
• Assume incident command when Senior Fire Officer is not available; complete duties as assigned.
