Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old at hire date.
• Arizona Fire Fighter I and II certifications and Arizona EMT certification required.
• Must pass physical agility and medical examinations.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency alarms and calls for service and performs fire suppression, rescue, and emergency medical duties.
• Relays orders and follows instructions under stressful conditions.
• Maintains equipment, vehicles, and protective gear and reports issues promptly.
• Provides fire safety and prevention training to schools and community groups.
• Continuously updates knowledge of city geography and facilities to operate safely and efficiently.
