Job summary

MGM Resorts International is seeking an Emergency Response Team Officer (ERTO) to join a highly trained security team in Las Vegas. You will be responsible for proactive armed security, threat assessment, incident response, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Responsibilities include incident containment, scene security, evacuation leadership, and ongoing training in legal updates, defensive tactics, first aid, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Four years of related or combined experience in law enforcement or security fields.
• Graduated from an accredited US federal, state, or local law enforcement academy.
• Ability to pass firearms qualification and physical agility tests.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate with all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high-visibility, uniformed or covert presence.
• Safeguard and protect confidential information.
• Identify and respond to emergency situations including violence, crises, weapons, and natural disasters.
• Secure scenes, advise personnel, contact emergency responders, and lead evacuations when needed.
• Meet physical requirements: move quickly, assist injured persons, engage threats, and handle a weapon.
