Job summary

MGM Resorts International in National Harbor, Maryland seeks an Emergency Response Team Officer (ERTO) to join a proactive, armed security team protecting guests, employees and property. You will complete a 3.5 week ERTO Academy in Las Vegas and engage in patrols, rapid response, cross-agency coordination, and meticulous reporting. Must meet age, education, license, and fitness tests.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license in good standing.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• Graduation from a US federal/state/local law enforcement academy is required.
• Four years of related experience (law enforcement, military police, security).
• Must pass firearm, physical agility, and psychological evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling designated areas to identify risks and maintain vigilance.
• Respond rapidly to emergencies and coordinate safety actions.
• Collaborate with fire, law enforcement, and medical teams during incidents.
• Participate in ongoing training to keep response protocols current.
• Document incidents, actions taken, and outcomes with accuracy.
