Job summary

MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas is seeking an Emergency Response Team Officer to join our corporate security team. You will provide proactive, armed security to protect guests, employees, and property, responding to critical incidents and acting as a visible deterrent to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.

Starting at $30.00 per hour, the ERTO will support safety and security initiatives, participate in ongoing training, and contribute to a culture of WOW experiences for our guests

Qualifications

• Four years of related experience in law enforcement, military police, or security roles.
• Graduated from an accredited US federal/state/local law enforcement academy.
• Must pass firearms qualification and physical agility tests.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high-visibility, uniformed or covert presence.
• Safeguard and maintain highly sensitive and confidential information.
• Identify and respond to emergency situations, including acts of violence, crises, weapons or explosives, natural disasters, and other threats.
• In emergencies: secure the scene, advise personnel of threats, call emergency responders, and commence evacuation procedures.
• Physically capable of moving quickly, engaging threats, and handling weapons as trained.
