Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare seeks a Flight Paramedic to deliver autonomous, advanced medical care for critically ill or injured patients during air and ground transport. You will demonstrate high-level critical thinking and collaborate with healthcare professionals in dynamic settings to ensure safe, effective patient care.

Based primarily in Roosevelt, UT, you’ll perform ALS, BLS, PALS, and trauma care, stabilize patients, manage airways, and document care thoroughly.

Qualifications

• State-certified Paramedic and National Registry Paramedic with no restrictions.
• ALS, BLS, PALS, and trauma care proficiency required.
• NRP within 120 days of hire.
• 3+ years in ALS or critical care transport.
• FP‑C or CCP‑C certification within two years of hire.
• Advanced trauma certifications within one year, or earlier if state requires.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced life support and critical care during air and ground transport.
• Stabilize patients and perform airway management and medication administration.
• Ensure equipment readiness and accurate documentation of care.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams and families to maintain continuity of care.
• Adhere to safety protocols for air medical transport and altitude-related challenges.
• Engage in continuous professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
