Job summary

SDCCU is seeking a Consumer Servicing Specialist to support the servicing and maintenance of consumer loans and leases in accordance with policies and regulations. You will handle loan transactions, provide accurate information to members, and resolve issues across multiple channels.

The role requires knowledge of loan servicing, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. The position is based in San Diego, CA, with full-time hours and a typical weekday schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of loan servicing experience at a financial institution.
• 1 year of SDCCU experience or 1 year loan servicing in consumer lending.
• Experience with Meridian Link/LoansPQ and Episys’ Symitar banking system.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process loan payments and adjustments, ACH exceptions, and file maintenance.
• Process auto and visa loan payoffs and release titles in a timely manner.
• Handle disability, unemployment, and life claims for loans with protections.
• Maintain and service SDCCU leases, validate taxes, and provide payoff details.
• Monitor insurance coverage and manage CPI refunds and add-ons.
