Job summary

Jobot is seeking a highly skilled commercial litigation associate for our boutique firm in the Northeast. You will handle complex disputes in state and federal courts, gaining direct client exposure and mentorship under accomplished litigators.

Requirements include a J.D. from an ABA-accredited school, active NY and CT bar admissions, and 3+ years of commercial litigation experience. Excellent drafting, research, and advocacy skills are essential.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to New York and Connecticut bars is required.
• 3+ years of commercial litigation experience preferred.
• Experience handling matters in state and federal courts.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Deposition and motion practice experience preferred.
• Ability to independently manage case responsibilities while working collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Manage and assist with all phases of commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation-related documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
• Handle written discovery, document review, and production.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Participate in court appearances, hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses.
• Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on complex litigation matters.
• Manage case files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
