Job summary

NSA is seeking Linguists (MDLAs) with strong Chinese language proficiency to support SIGINT missions. The role involves translating, transcribing, and analyzing languages for national security purposes, with opportunities to join the Language Analysis Development Program (LADP) or direct hire into analytic offices.

Applicants must meet ILR 2/2 in reading/listening and have 1+ year of relevant experience. Extensive on-the-job training, multiple tours, and potential travel are part of the program.

Qualifications

• Minimum ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for target language.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in language or related fields.
• Entry: HS diploma/GED +4 yrs, Associate +2 yrs, or Bachelor's +0 yrs.
• Full Performance: HS +7 yrs, or Associate +5 yrs, or Bachelor's +3 yrs, or higher degree +1 yr.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, and translate key foreign language information for SIGINT.
• Engage with partners, enablers, and customers across the IC.
• Participate in LADP or direct hire for analytic missions.
• Pursue on-the-job training with operational tours and language development.
• Mentor, coach, and lead other Language Analysts; ensure mission health.
