Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels Corporation seeks a Catering Sales Manager to drive social and corporate catering revenue, build client relationships, and oversee event execution at our Cambridge properties. You will coordinate with culinary, operations, and other departments to deliver memorable guest experiences and ensure profitable meetings and events.

You will lead prospecting, proposal development, BEO management, and contract negotiations, while contributing to budget and forecast processes

Responsibilities

• Prospect, solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat social and corporate business to maximize revenue and achieve budgets.
• Establish client base of individuals, organizations, associations, social and corporate businesses through direct outside and inside selling.
• Coordinate functions and activities with other department heads and communicate the Meeting/Event planner's needs to staff.
• Prepare and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEO) and attend BEO meetings.
• Negotiate guest room rates, meeting room rental, and hotel services within guidelines.
• Produce and review sales contracts, rate agreements, and banquet/catering event orders.
• Arrange site inspections and off-site presentations for potential clients.
