Job summary

Boulder Valley School District is seeking a Head Swimming Coach for Boys at Fairview High in Boulder, CO. This extra-duty, 1.0 FTE position starts February 1, 2027, with a pay range of $3,392 - $4,475 and a closing date of October 4, 2026.

The coach will oversee the entire swimming program, working with athletes and school leadership to build a competitive program. Responsibilities include coordinating varsity and lower level teams, running seasonal programs, tracking student eligibility and

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age, or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English.
• Colorado Teaching License or CHSAA coaching certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate varsity and lower level teams.
• Lead summer and/or off season programs.
• Develop expectations and direction of the swimming program.
• Track eligibility and academic progress of students.
• Prepare team for competition.
• Teach fundamental and advanced swimming skills.
• Attend Coaches' meetings and BVSD professional development.
• Communicate with parents, players, staff, media, etc.
