Job summary

The Boulder Valley School District is seeking an Assistant Coach for Ultimate Frisbee at Summit Middle Charter in Boulder, CO. The position entails leading practices after school, implementing game strategies, and guiding middle school players in skill development and teamwork.

Compensation includes an hourly rate with a 1.0 FTE expectation through two six-week seasons starting Oct 1, 2026. Supervisory support comes from the athletic director, with emphasis on leadership and positive role

Qualifications

• Certifications: First Aid and CPR may be required.
• Experience: previous playing and coaching experience in frisbee is highly desirable.
• Skills: frisbee knowledge, leadership, communication and training ability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective offensive and defensive strategies for games.
• Create and lead daily practices, focusing on fundamental skills; foster teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
• Provide constructive feedback and motivation to players to improve their game.
• Manage and care for team equipment.
• Work with the Athletic Assistant for team travel arrangements.
• Act as a positive role model for student-athletes.

Summary:

Ultimate Frisbee Assistant Coach, Middle School –(2) 6 week seasons in the Fall and Spring. The pay rate is $28 per hour. Daily practice from 3:15 to 4:30 PM and Wednesday 3:35 to 4:30 PM, the season will have several tournaments. The position is supervised and evaluated by the athletic director.
