Job summary

Viejas Casino & Resort is seeking a Bartender III to provide expert cocktail service and engage guests with entertaining, accurate beverage preparation. You will train teammates, handle complex orders, and upsell premium drinks while maintaining high standards of sanitation and guest satisfaction.

Requirements include a 21+ age, 5+ years in bartending, high-volume experience, and certifications (Food Handler, RASS/TIPS, California RBST).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Food Handler’s Certificate required.
• RASS or TIPS Certification within 30 days of employment and maintained.
• California Responsible Beverage Service Training and Certification required upon hire.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• 5+ years of related experience and/or training.
• High volume bar experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of bar operations, service procedures and beverages.

Responsibilities

• Assist Beverage Management with training of team members and complete training paperwork.
• Take orders from casino floor, servers, and guests; present and describe menus.
• Suggestively upsell premium liquors and cocktails.
• Enter orders in POS and handle cash per policy.
• Pour and serve wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages; prepare garnishes.
• Mix cocktails accurately without a recipe book and tailor to guest taste.
• Maintain bar stock, supplies, and cleanliness; rotate inventory.
• Work with management to improve sales and reduce waste.
• Provide guest satisfaction and resolve issues promptly.
