Job summary

Delta Air Lines, Inc. is seeking an Avionics Hanger 2 Technician to repair and replace aircraft avionics and electrical systems.

The role includes system checks, diagnostics and servicing of components such as power, autopilot, navigation displays and comms equipment. The ideal candidate will hold an A&P license (or have an Associate’s Degree in Avionics), have at least 3 years of avionic experience, and be able to read complex manuals and schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A&P License required; 3+ years avionics experience or an Associate's Degree in Avionics from an accredited college or approved technical school.
• Ability to inspect, test, repair avionics and electrical components.
• Ability to read and write English; comprehend and apply information from manuals, blueprints and diagrams.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and replacement of components and wiring; system checks and diagnostics.
• Inspect, service, test, repair, modify, remove and replace aircraft electrical instruments and electronic equipment.
• Work with power system components, indicating and warning systems, autopilots, navigation displays and related avionics subsystems.
• Read and interpret detailed technical manuals, schematics and wiring diagrams with minimal supervision.
• Adapt to changing tasks and schedules; operate with safety-conscious behavior.
