Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school completion or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience reading job orders and following specifications.
• Ability to use automotive repair tools safely.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Strong teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use tools like cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and interiors.
• Weld or fit parts, repaint vehicles, and ensure work orders meet labor guidelines.
