Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver an exceptional customer experience by accurately repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will dismantle, repair, reassemble, and restore vehicles while aligning with the WOW plan and company KPIs, serving as a Brand Ambassador.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and either technical schooling or a 3-year apprenticeship. Strong attention to detail and safe operation of shop tools are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship required.
• Ability to read job orders and work with little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of vehicle repair methods and tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW plan consistently.
• Plan repair work and prepare customer estimates using various tools (cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, pliers).
• Hammers out dents and applies filler resins to repair dents.
• Realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with parts and repair glass and windshields as needed.
• Welds and fits parts and repaints vehicles with factory-specified paint or equivalent.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect completed work.
