Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Bluffton, SC is seeking an Auto Body Technician to accurately assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition, ensuring speed, quality and customer excellence. You will disassemble, repair, reassemble, and inspect vehicles while collaborating with the team to meet KPIs.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus technical training or apprenticeship. You will work with tools and materials safely in a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Thorough understanding of methods to repair vehicle bodies and use of shop tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan repairs and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Repair vehicle sections using guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, and pliers.
• Realign chassis/frames and replace damaged sections with parts as needed.
• Weld, paint, and finish vehicles to factory specs; inspect completed work.
