Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Sarasota, FL is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver an exceptional customer experience through meticulous assessment and quality repair of vehicles, restoring them to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble, aligning with KPIs and representing the Brand Ambassador of The Boyd Group.

Join a committed team with WOW plan execution, use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, and paint to repair, replace, and refinish parts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
• Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.
• Thorough understanding of how to use tools for the trade.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of the WOW plan.
• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers using tools like cutting guns and plasma cutters.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Remove damaged sections and replace with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass as needed.
• Repair interior parts as needed and prepare for painting.
• Weld, fit parts, and repaint vehicles to factory or agreed standards.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect finished work.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
