Allied Universal is seeking an Elite Armed Security Officer - Full Time Driver Site Assessment in Austin, TX. You will protect clients across Retail/Malls with routine armed patrols, maintain a visible presence, deter incidents, respond to security concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service.

This role requires a valid driver's license and Texas Level III Armed Certification, is 21+, high school diploma, and successful completion of background and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years armed security experience.
• Valid Texas driver’s license.
• Level III Armed Certification (Texas) required.
• 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff while following armed security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and per protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols in retail/mall areas and perimeters.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and report suspicious activity to site leadership.
• Prepare accurate incident and patrol reports.

As an Armed Patrol Officer in a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. Pay Rate: $26.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out armed security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and following established protocols when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail and mall common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, observe visitor and vendor activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and security-related concerns to site leadership.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrols, daily activities, and policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
