Job summary

RiseMe seeks an Eligibility Specialist to determine financial eligibility for Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, and related programs. The role involves interviewing applicants in person, by phone, or in the community and reviewing documents to support accurate determinations.

You will work with case managers, ensure timely renewals, and follow confidentiality rules including HIPAA. A four-year college degree and strong communication skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a four-year college or university with major course work in social services preferred and/or any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the job.

Responsibilities

• Deter­mines financial eligibility for Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, ERDC, and other programs.
• Collects, reviews, and processes financial documentation and other supporting data within rule mandated timeframes.
• Engages with clients via phone, email, in person, or in the community with trauma-informed communication.
