CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL LOS ANGELES is seeking an Eligibility & Authorization Rep II to join our team. Under moderate supervision, you will perform tasks related to requesting and obtaining authorizations.

You will organize and maintain a worklist, and serve as the primary liaison between patients, CHLA, and third‑party payers, answering questions and arranging payment. The role requires strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical office or hospital experience required.
• Experience with financial clearance processes preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM

Purpose Statement/Position Summary:

The Eligibility & Authorization Rep II, under moderate supervision, performs tasks associated requesting and obtaining authorizations. Organizes, updates, and maintains a worklist documenting progressing on tasks. Serves as the primary liaison between patient, CHLA, and third‑party payers in answering questions and arranging payment. Answers and screens incoming calls while providing excellent customer service.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:

2+ years of experience in medical office setting or hospital performing financial clearance processes required.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

High School diploma or equivalent required.
