ELIGIBILITY AND SUPPORT SERVICES COORDINATOR

Job Overview

The HIV/AI DS Services Administration (HASA) within the Human Resources Administration (HRA) expedites access to benefits for over 32,000 individuals living with HIV and 8,000+ affected families. Services include case management, rental and housing assistance, benefits application support, vocational services, and more.

Position Details

Under supervision, the Eligibility & Support Services Coordinator will support program eligibility and benefits administration, enabling the team to focus on client services. Two Principal Administrative Associates III are recruited for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise staff to ensure performance and coverage across units.
  • Monitor and review benefits accuracy and timeliness.
  • Develop corrective actions and training for staff performance.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance for audits.
  • Interpret and train staff on eligibility policies and procedures.
  • Handle employee concerns and support, including grievances and labor relations.
  • Act as community liaison, resolve concerns, and participate in community events.
  • Assist the Regional Manager as needed.
Work Location & Schedule

Locations: 1790 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY & 890 Garrison Avenue, Bronx, NY

Hours: 9am-5pm

Minimum Qualifications
  • Baccalaureate degree + 3 years of relevant experience, including supervisory experience.
  • Or an associate degree + 4 years of relevant experience, including supervisory experience.
  • Or a high school diploma + 5 years of relevant experience, including supervisory experience.
