Dynamic Workforce Solutions is seeking an Eligibility and Outreach Specialist in Eastern Iowa. You will support the Accelerate Iowa program by building relationships with participants, employers and community agencies to meet enrollment goals, coordinating referrals, and guiding applicants through the enrollment process with excellent service.
The role requires outreach to high schools, community colleges and social service partners, with some weekend/evening work.
Primary Objectives of Position: Supports the outreach, eligibility, and enrollment function of the Accelerate Iowa program goals. Responsible for maintaining, establishing and cultivating relationships with participants, employers, and community agencies to achieve project enrollment goals. The Eligibility and Outreach specialist will be responsible for coordination of program referrals, and engagement with referrals through the enrollment process ensuring consistent and clear workflow with the Accelerate Iowa Team.

Physical requirements include carrying/lifting up to 5 pounds, frequently; up to 10 pounds, regular; and up to 25 pounds, occasionally. Visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to drive an automobile and operate computer keyboard and basic office equipment; subject to carrying, lifting, twisting and reaching to perform essential job functions. Working conditions are primarily in an office environment with occasional travel to other locations.

High school diploma or GED, and 1-2 years of experience in a Workforce environment or coordination/planning experience preferred. AA or BA preferred.
Significant demonstrable experience in federally funded program eligibility screening, or enrollment. Demonstrable experience in business-to-business marketing or working in a community-based organization.
Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with staff and leadership via presentations, in person, telephone, written and oral. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to do public speaking and conduct training sessions. The ability to maintain confidentiality is a must.
Demonstrated ability to use various software programs (Microsoft Office) for correspondence, reports, statistical compilation, analysis and database access.
Must be accustomed to working in a complex, fast-paced and confidential work environment. Ability to follow complex instructions, prioritize tasks, and effectively utilize resources to complete projects in a timely and accurate manner. Superior attention to detail is a must.
Position requires regular travel across a 22-county service area, with a primary presence at IowaWORKS American Job Centers in Burlington, Davenport, Ottumwa, and Marshalltown. Travel includes on-site coverage, partner coordination, and outreach throughout the region.
Salary: $21.50 - $23.00 per hour
