Job summary

Pride Ag in Ingalls, KS is seeking a Grain Elevator Laborer to support receiving, storing, and loading grain products at our facility. You will operate equipment, maintain cleanliness, and assist with grain handling as part of a dedicated team.

The role requires a strong work ethic, safety awareness, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and climbing. Prior experience in agriculture or manufacturing is preferred, with opportunities for overtime and advancement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in agriculture, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and climbing.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation.
  • Strong communication and teamwork; English required.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with receiving incoming grain shipments and unloading trucks or railcars using equipment such as conveyors, augers, and grain probes.
  • Transfer grain to storage bins or silos using elevator systems and equipment.
  • Monitor grain quality and conditions during storage, including temperature and moisture levels.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and facilities to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Load outgoing grain shipments onto trucks or railcars according to customer orders and specifications.
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, and grain elevators in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including recording grain movements and conducting physical counts.
  • Participate in training programs to develop skills and knowledge related to grain elevator operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sweeping floors, removing debris, and disposing of waste materials.

As a Grain Elevator Laborer, you will play a vital role in the operation of our grain elevator facility, including receiving, storing, and loading grain products.

Job Overview

The Grain Elevator Laborer will perform a variety of tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the grain elevator facility.
