Lerch Bates Inc. seeks an Elevator Consultant to join our Vertical Transportation team. You will manage vertical transportation projects, coordinate client communications, and deliver technical guidance on elevators, escalators, and related systems.

This role emphasizes strong project management, client relationship development, and adherence to evolving codes and best practices across office, client, and field environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field preferred.
• 3–5+ years of elevator/vertical transportation experience.
• Experience with elevator modernization, maintenance audits, inspections, design or construction administration preferred.
• Strong knowledge of vertical transportation systems and applicable codes.
• QEI/CEI certification preferred; related experience may be considered in lieu of certification.
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage vertical transportation projects from planning through completion, including modernization and inspections.
• Coordinate scope, schedules, budgets, and client communications to ensure quality and satisfaction.
• Provide technical guidance related to elevators, escalators, moving walks, and related systems.
• Prepare project updates, findings, and recommendations for clients and internal teams.
• Promote industry knowledge of codes, standards, and best practices.
