Lerch Bates is seeking an Elevator Consultant to join our Vertical Transportation team in Detroit, MI. You will manage and advise on elevator, escalator, and related systems across new construction and existing buildings, coordinating with owners, architects, and project teams throughout all project phases.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in vertical transportation consulting or related fields, strong communication skills, and a commitment to staying current with industry codes and practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field preferred.
• 3–5+ years of elevator/vertical transportation experience.
• Experience with vertical transportation design consulting and modernization planning.

Responsibilities

• Manage vertical transportation projects from planning through completion.
• Coordinate scope, schedules, budgets, and client communication.
• Provide technical recommendations on elevators, escalators and related systems.
• Support owners, architects, and project teams on modernization planning and lifecycle evaluations.
• Prepare reports and communicate updates to clients and internal teams.
• Stay current with industry trends, codes, and best practices.
